Chainsaw Safe Handling, Maintenance and Practices Certification Course

At Chainsaw Safety Ontario, we supply chainsaw safety training and certification for Industry, Government Agencies, NGO's, First Nations, Inuit and Metis members throughout Ontario. Our Level 3 Intermediate Chainsaw Safe Handling, Maintenance and Practices Certification Course is designed for those who require employment certification or for those who would like more confidence when using their chainsaw for personal use.


All of these sessions are aimed at novices or more experienced people who are ready to hear the latest information. Seminars are all-inclusive. All of the chainsaws, materials, props, personal protective equipment, audio visual/ instructional videos, and handout materials are supplied by the instructor.
Certificates of Completion (wall mount and wallet card) are awarded to participants following successful completion of an outdoor practical session and a written exam. Certificates are valid for three years.

Ken Fosty is a Certified Workplace Safety North Professional Chainsaw Instructor. He teaches a hands-on approach on how to operate your chainsaw safely. Indoor classroom sessions include current safety videos and take home handouts. Indoor sessions also include chainsaw dis-assembly/maintenance and proper sharpening. Outdoor hands-on practical sessions using chainsaws completes the course.

* Brushsaw Certification Course is available as an add-on to the Chainsaw Safety Course. All equipment including brushsaws are supplied. Brushsaw Safety Certificates are awarded upon completion. A popular course for those seeking employment by Utility Companies.
